He rumbles into Scotland with his plans to build a world-beating golf resort in Aberdeen, tramples over the planning process, throws his money and promises around to encourage the process along, and endears himself to the locals like a turd on your shoe... and now he's calling a wind turbine farm in Aberdeen Bay 'ugly'. Get this, in a letter to Alex Salmond, Scotland's First Minister, he describes the wind turbines, to be located a mile from his golf course, as "disastrous and environmentally irresponsible".
Oh yes, Donald, and who's building a golf resort on a Site of Special Scientific Interest on the Menie Estate. And when I say 'golf resort', I mean two 18 hole golf courses, a large luxury hotel, 500 private houses and 1,000 holiday homes. No environmental damage there I suppose!
Trump said: "Unfortunately, instead of celebrating the start of something valuable and beautiful for Scotland, this ugly cloud is hanging over the future of the great Scottish coastline."
The only 'ugly cloud' around here, mate, is your hair.
good on ya, kevin. he should be tried in the hague.
ReplyDeleteHe thinks he's going Scotland a favor and his attitude comes off very poor towards the locals. I watched his show on the GC while he did a walk around of the course and he was doing some promo shots with a driver in his hand with too bag pipers beside him. The twit failed to honor the tradition of the game by using a titanium driver when he should have used a persimmon.
ReplyDeleteI've read a bunch of comments on forums that are all for the course, and people saying the wind farm is a disgrace. I could understand if you're against both - it's an area of outstanding natural beauty after all - but to be AGAINST the turbines but FOR the golf course seems blinkered.
ReplyDeleteThey don't make idiots any bigger than Trump.
