Free Tralee Golf Experience (worth €400)

Arnold Palmer
Just Treats are making a push into Munster with their golf deals. Leinsterites have been enjoying all of the offers being made by this young Irish company - from heavily discounted green fees to golf lessons - so it seems only fair that Munster golfers get to benefit too. And what a way to tee it off!

To promote and celebrate this new push, Just Treats are giving you the chance to win two green fees and a full dinner for two at Tralee Golf Club... worth up to €400. This value is based on peak season prices... so it's good to know that you can play at peak season and not be restricted to a month with a Q in it and a tee time after 5pm.

Tralee's par three 13th - drop dead gorgeous
Tralee, for the uninitiated, is in Golf Digest Ireland's top ten courses - at number 7 - and one of Ireland's most beautiful golfing locations on the edge of the Atlantic. The tower behind the 3rd green (visible mid shot in the photo below) is perched above Tralee Bay and dates back to the 1190s. The Sliabh Mish Mountains lie beyond.

The back of the 7th tee looks over a small harbour of crystal clear water, and the 8th fairway runs alongside it as the water flows out to the bay.

The famous par five 2nd. A dogleg right, around the beach (in play), with Sliabh Mish Mountains beyond
Tralee is one of the most scenic courses in Ireland, and there is always something to distract you, from the views to the beaches which themselves are rich in history (U-boats, Spanish Armada and Ryan's Daughter... an intriguing combo).

The golf is sublime as well and there are several holes here that I would rank as 'best in Ireland'. Clearly Palmer thought the same:

"I designed the first nine but surely God designed the back nine."

Before my travels, I had played Tralee once before in the 1990s. My friend and I ate in the clubhouse and the food was terrible. Awful. Inedible. We left most of it, paid and slid away without a word - as you do. My second visit, 10 years later, was far more rewarding as the catering had been upgraded to match the growing reputation of this stunning course. It was lunchtime, the restaurant was full and the menu encouraged me to venture beyond the burger - my fall-back of choice.

Enter the Just Treats draw before February 28th to be in with a chance to win... and good luck.
