There are Open Weeks everywhere at the moment as the Irish golfing 'summer' tilts into full gear. Here are two that cropped up yesterday through very different channels:

Concra Wood

Received by email, this glorious and vastly under-appreciated parkland in Co. Monaghan is hosting its Open Week from 8th to 11th July. (Their Website)

Monday 8th July: 
Open Singles Stableford 18 hole Competition

Tuesday 9th July: 
Open Singles 18 hole competition, best 14 holes to count in determining winners.

Wednesday 10th July: 
Competition 1—Open Seniors Men

Wednesday 10th July: 
Competition 2—Open Seniors Ladies

Thursday 11th July: 
Ciaran Finlay Memorial Competition. 4-ball better ball competition

Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in all competitions
Thursday Night in clubhouse presentation of all prizes

Entry Fee for Visitors

Faithlegg

To the south-east of Waterford City, Faithlegg comes with a hotel and all the trimmings. I had a meeting there yesterday and discovered this poster in the Gents*.
