Adare - Bank Holiday Competitions (from the Back Tees)

The 11th hole at Adare, from the 157-yard White
tees... now add on 73 yards.

No introduction needed on this beauty - Adare is holding two competitions this coming weekend, including playing from the Tips. 


Sunday 4th: A Singles competition, from the Back Tees. At 7,453 yards that's going to be tough going unless you've got serious length in your arsenal. Consider that the regular White tees measure a more mortal 6,590 yards and you could find yourself struggling... then again, wouldn't you like to see the course the way Tiger Woods et al did when they played here a couple of years back. Take a look at the card below. The 2nd is a 480 yard par four, the 11th is a 230 yard par three (and water's involved).

Sunday 5th: Open team of two competition. Teams of any pairing can compete in the resort's annual Autumn Pair Competition. This is not, you'll be glad to hear, from the back tees.
