The 6th, green to tee (lots of water to the right as you approach) |
It was a perfect sunny evening when I strolled out and took some photographs of the course.
In this weather, courses never look better and Co Longford impressed me far more than I remembered. It had a major revamp in 2005, so when I visited in 2007 it may still have been settling in.
If you feel inclined you can get two green fees for €25 (i.e. €12.50 each) which can be used on any day - a major bonus for the time-poor golfers out there. I met a lady on the 9th green (a par four straight up the hill) who thought her approach shot might be in the hole... I didn't have the heart to tell her it was in the bunker and scurried off before she reached it. Nothing worse on a golf course than thinking you've hit the perfect shot, only to find it in trouble.
The 15th - a sweet and straight par four. Mind that tree |
You have until 10/10/13 to use the voucher and it's valid 7 days a week, subject to availability.
