You’ve probably already heard but there’s a new Irish golf magazine on the shelves… and in golf clubs… and online. The 5th issue of Irish Golfer Magazine has just been published, with Paul Dunne pictured on the front.
And that front cover image says everything you need to know because
Irish Golfer Magazine does exactly what it says on the tin… it focuses on Irish golf.
Irish Golfer Magazine does exactly what it says on the tin… it focuses on Irish golf.
The professional game, the amateur game,
men, women, juniors, boys, girls, Irish golf courses, Irish golf opinion, Irish
golf news… it’s all here.
And it’s about time!
I know, I know... there are other Irish golf magazines
and ‘newspapers’ out there, but can you name one that is as comprehensive as
Irish Golfer Magazine? That focuses on Irish golf to the same degree? That doesn’t
overload you with ads? That is
interesting?

There are 100 pages and this month’s
edition has interviews with Paul Dunne (by Joe Lyons) and Carin Koch (about
the Solheim Cup), our possible Walker Cup contenders (by Brendan Coffey), and
various other articles by Michael Bannon, Ivan Morris, Ally McIntosh, and
myself (Tralee and a selection of Irish parklands). Tuition, travel and
equipment all appear, too.
It’s an excellent magazine, well put
together and well thought out by John Shortt and Peter Finnan (of
matchplaymedia.ie). It is certainly a good read, so pick up your free copy in
your golf club, or view the online edition, and get into the Irish swing of things with a fresh new perspective.
